II. Intracranial part (Cerebellopontine angle)
  • Acoustic neuroma
  • Congenital cholesteatoma
  • Meningioma
  • Meningitis
  • Metastatic carcinoma
III. Intratemporal part>/span>
      • Idiopathic – Bell palsy, Melkersson syndrome
      • Infections – Acute suppurative otitis media, Chronic suppurative otitis media, Malignant otitis externa, Herpes zoster oticus.
      • Trauma – Surgical: Mastoidectomy and Stapedotomy,
      • Accidental: Fractures of temporal bone  
      • Neoplasms – Malignancies of external and middle ear, Facial nerve neuroma, Glomus jugulare tumour, Metastasis to temporal bone (from cancer of breast, prostate, bronchus.)

  • Surgery of parotid
